Sorry for being away for so long, I had some personal things to deal with. But I'm back with a vengeance just like that guy in that movie! To make up for this I am doing a bigger list of more movies to enjoy! I won't waste your time any more, let's just get into these movies:Action: Since I saw the Magnificent 7 recently and enjoyed it, I thought I would revisit Antoine Fuqua and Denzel Washington in The Equalizer. It's a really entertaining movie and I love me some Denzel. He hits all the right points in the movie and is genuinely terrifying at times. It's a bit of a longer movie at over 2 hours, but worth it for some good action bits and fun acting by Mr. Washington.Comedy: 2016 was the year of the sequel to me, but mostly just for Ben Stiller to come back in Zoolander 2. I can't truly say as I've watched it as I'm not a huge fan of Stillers, but I've heard it's not bad. It's just over 100 minutes, so even if you don't like it, it'll be over quickly. If this isn't your thing, watch Harold and Kumar go to White Castle instead. Maybe watch both.Romance: 1984's Splash, starring Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah for sure got the nod from me for romance. It was made the year I was born and I think has one of the best actors of all time in Tom Hanks starring in it. 111 minutes of awesome movie about a guy that falls in love with a mermaid, how can you go wrong?Horror: 2014 was a great year as it was basically the resurgence of my favourite actor ever. Kurt Russell was in three movies in 2015: The money machine Furious Seven, the Tarantino-ized Hateful Eight and the lesser known best of the three in Bone Tomahawk. This western style horror movie has a group of men going into the frontier to save some women from their town who have been kidnapped by natives, but the kicker is that the tribe is a cannibal tribe. Some amazing scenes in this that were very scary and done super well. On top of Russell being in it, just a fantastic movie. 132 minutes moves slow at the beginning, but when it gets going it goes fast and hard... like he lives his life a quarter mile at a time.Drama: While it could also go into some other categories, I put 2010's The Town starring ben Affleck on this list because it is great. It's just over 2 hours long, but Affleck, who looks amazing in this movie by the way, slays the entire time. It's about bank robbers in Boston and I cannot stress enough how great this movie is. It even sparked a newfound love for Jeremy Renner, an actor who I didn't particularly like for a very long time.Science Fiction: Also a cartoon, but I wanted it here as the cartoon section is filled with awesome already, 2015's The Boy and the Beast. A Japanese cartoon about an orphan who is found by a master warrior in "the world of beasts", which is kinda cool. It's as well almost 2 hours long, but cartoons are fun and it's done pretty well. I'll warn ahead of time and say this probably isn't for young kids, maybe double digit ages? Depends on you, but I like to give warning.Cartoon: Stone Age Smackdown is a really entertaining cartoon about wrestlers in the era of the Flinstones. It a cartoon, so your kids can watch it, it's under an hour and it has John Cena! Win-win-win!Documentary: For my documentary section I chose The Blue Planet, it's an 8 part documentary that shows a life of aquatic life and how amazing it is. Water terrifies me, but the beauty in the filming is done so well that it makes me wish I was in The Little Mermaid... I mean.. uh... chopping wood and.. doing manly things! Thanks guys, I hope you enjoy the movies as much as I did!
