Wait... that's his plan the whole time!Runtime: 152 minutesReview: Gonna say it right off the bat guys, THIS IS MY FAVOURITE STAR WARS MOVIE. I THINK IT'S GREAT. FIGHT ME.Now that this is out of the way, as well as all of the spoilers, because if you're reading this you likely know the story behind it and are either ok with it, or violently hate it. I am here to say my piece about it and if you don't like it, we all have our own opinions.Reasons why I think this movie is great:1.) Good action scenes2.) Good music3.) Good actors doing what they're told to do4.) Laser Swords5.) It goes as outside the box as it can, while still staying well within the circle and not scaring people.6.) I love Rian JohnsonReasons why I think the other Star Wars movies are great:1.) Good action scenes2.) Good music3.) Good actors doing what they're told to do4.) Laser SwordsReasons why people don't like this movie:1.) The movie didn't do what "they" wanted2.) They're sad people who cannot find happiness3.) They are blind and deaf, unfair of you to judge them for not liking this movie guys. That's rude.I think the biggest issue people have with this movie is, in fact, that Rain Johnson took it somewhere they didn't want. "They made Luke look like a jerk and a whiny baby" is one I get a lot, but at the same time, Luke was clearly a jerk and a whiny baby for a lot of 4 and a lot of 5. The whole point of Luke is to redeem himself throughout the movies, which he clearly does by the end. I've also heard people complain that "Rey can't be a Jedi, she's a girl!" Shut up from your moms basement guy. This movie put together a mosaic of new and old characters, new and old stories and even newer characters and foundations for more. So much so that Kelly Marie Tran quit the internet because people were scared of new things and changes in something they loved. By no means did her character, Rose Tico, make this movie worse. She was and is a true believer in the rebel alliance. So much so that she grows to love (spoiler, it's Finn). She brings more life to a movie series that never stops having life added to it. I personally thought she was fantastic in the role written for her.For all the people that are so against any new Star Wars movies, saying the old ones are better and stronger movies I say that the acting from Mark Hamill in this movie is better than his acting in any of the other 4 he's been in. The raw emotion he has when speaking of his failures is fantastic, the wise-cracking antics that were almost Yoda-esque were awesome.I think Adam Driver gives a near flawless performance throughout the movie to be honest. He shows nothing but emotion and somehow hides all the motives behind his actions. The internal struggle he has as Kylo Ren is phenomenal and I am excited to see more of it in IX.The weird power struggle between Hux and Ren is entertaining, there is more than one occasion where Hux repeats exactly what Ren says and Ren gives weird looks at him because of it and I laugh out loud every time. I want a Ren and Hux buddy comedy. Legit my only concern or fear for the series is that they had the perfect chance to give Carrie Fisher an A+ send off in this movie and they didn't. I know they have a plan for Leia, I just hope if follows through. She deserves to be sent off well in this. I know she's happy with John Belushi, John Candy and Harold Ramis.
