Starring: Jay Chandrasekhar, Steve Lemme, Kevin Heffernan, Tyler Labine, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rob Lowe, Will Sasso, Brian Cox, Seann William Scott, Damon Wayans Jr., Linda Carter, Hayes MacArthurPlot: The borders between Canada and the United States have just been changed... also, a lot of other borders have been crossed.Review: So when I went into this movie, I was really afraid that it was going to be super crappy. I was terrified that it would be Anchorman 2, or even worse... Zoolander 2 (was it called 2lander?). I was skeptical right off the hop to be honest, but was VERY happily wrong with how it turned out.As with other movies, I'm going to do everything I can to not spoil this movie for you guys, but there will likely be some spoil seepage through the cracks. Not a pleasant thought, but here we are.The movies plot is pretty mundane with The main characters going into what is currently Canada, waiting for it to be "brought over" to American soil. But there are some other things happening in it, some drugs, some guns, some hookers, as we'd all assume from a cop movie. The soundtrack is pretty average too, some songs made by the Eagles of Death Metal, so if you like them you got that going for you.The things that really grab are the still very funny broken lizard guys, after Slammin' Salmon I was skeptical they'd lost it (Though i genuinely loved Club Dread, and thought Beer Fest was quirky and fun) and the amazingly cast/hilarious Canadians they got for the movie. I did not know Rob Lowe was Canadian (Spoiler, he's not.), nor did I know about Emmanuelle Chriqui, Will Sasso and Tyler Labine, so that was cool. Their French Canadian Mounties were phenomenal. There were a few parts of the movie that made me laugh so hard that I genuinely got a head ache.Spoiler!!!!!!: One of the scenes involves only the Mounties where Will Sasso is confusing Danny Devito with Danny Devito and it's angering Hayes MacArthur to the point that he storms out of the room, only to have Tyler Labine tell Sasso that MacArthur was right. Sasso then says "I know, I'm only doing this to fuck with him." Labine looks a little coy about it, but actually plays along a bit and I think confuses Danny Devito with Demi Lovato on purpose to anger MacArthur. 2 minutes of solid laughter.I think the best part of the movie isn't that we get to see all these guys again, but more that they all kept the spirit of the characters right. There weren't too many changes to characters, Farva is still a piece of crap that everyone hates, the chief is still a hard-ass who has the most fun. It's a very fun movie that lived up to the first one without going too overboard. Kept the plot simple and made it worthwhile. Too many sequels try to go way over the top and get even more dumb that the first ones (See the first movies I was afraid of this with).Full on opinion without spoiling, see this movie in the theatres, show support to the Broken Lizard team and make them some money.
