Starring: Charlie Day, Ice Cube, Christina Hendricks, Jillian Bell, Kumail Nanjiani, Tracy MorganPlot: two teachers are going to have a fight on the last day of school because one gets the other fired.runtime: 91 minutesReview: I saw this movie on iTunes and could not remember for the life of me what it was. I saw Charlie Day and Ice Cube and was intrigued though. I then watched the trailer and it all came flooding back. How a movie could be made about two teachers in America getting into a fist fight (duh) on the last day of school. I remember being sort of excited becauseI love Charlie Day and like... don't hate Ice Cube, but there's no way they could base an entire move around a schoolyard fight between two teachers, could they?Man, was I ever wrong. The entire movie is based around Charlie Day trying to get out of being in a fight with ice Cube because he got Ice Cube fired. But there's a twist! Charlie Days wife is pregnant! Wait, that's not a twist, there's a REAL twist! Charlie Day got Ice Cube fired! Also not really a twist, more just a plot device... wait! There's totally a real twist in here! Ice Cube... is... a teacher? I don't know, there's no twist, it's just a dumb premise for a movie. So I'm going to spoil this movie for you guys because I took the bullet and watched it, so I get to ensure that you do or don't watch it on your own terms. The reason Charlie Day gets Ice Cube fired is because the school board in making cuts and he doesn't want to get fired himself which, while kinda douchey, isn't really awful. He has a child and another on the way, i get it. ALSO, there's a scene in the trailer where 'Cube goes ape shit on a desk with a fire axe if you remember, that's the reason he got fired. Because he's s psycho that took an axe to a desk that a student was sitting in seconds before. Why did he do this you ask? Because the kids were pranking him on last day. Flawless, right? So throughout the movie we have Charlie Day trying to get out of the fight, or find out what to do or whatever and Cube just threatening him and stupid things like that. But here's the issue... one of the issues with the movie. The police were called about 45 minutes into the movie because Charlie Day was going to get beaten up. Rather than sending a car over to check on things, the dispatch people laugh at him and tell him to "grow up and take that beating". This upset me because why would NONE of these kids call the cops on the teacher that just attacked a kid with an axe? Why would the other teacher, or the principal NOT call the cops on this brazen psychopath? I understand it's a movie, but this is less believable than dragons to me. NO ONE DOES ANYTHING AND THE FIGHT JUST ENDS UP HAPPENING.Even Christina Hendricks, who I find very attractive, couldn't save this movie. I found it to be very much like Super size... nope, that stupid movie with Jonah Hill and Michael Cera where they're douche bags who just try to get SUPERBAD! I remembered halfway through and didn't want to erase all this, so deal with it! It was very similar to Super Bad as it's a vessel for people to drop an F-bomb too often, or people to attempt to be badasses. But at least Superbad had some funny moments, this is rocking maybe...6 minutes of good comedy within the 91 minutes of crap. I am by no means saying don't watch this movie, its your choice and you may like it, I respect your opinion on it even though it's wrong. That's really all I've got.
